Hidria among the 10 most innovative companies in Europe

The Hidria Corporation achieved exceptional success in the “European Business Awards” contest by placing among the 10 most innovative companies in Europe. In addition to Hidria, there are 99 remaining companies vying for the main award in ten categories (10 in each category) from 28 European countries. The winners in the individual categories will be announced at the closing event in April this year.

Hidria submitted an application for assessment in the contest almost a year ago. This was followed by presentations to an international jury, where Hidria’s comprehensive approach or concept of introducing and supporting innovative models – from the development growth strategy, the development of new business models, the development of a support environment and connections with partners to integration into the local environment – was highlighted.

As underlined by the President of Hidria management board Iztok Seljak, MSc, this is an exceptional recognition for Hidria and all its employees, since being placed among the ten most innovative companies in Europe proves that the strong presence of innovation culture in Hidria and the resulting achievements were also detected by the organisers of the contest. Hidria was placed among the most innovative companies or enterprises in Europe, thus serving as a model for a wider European and global audience, Seljak believes. According to Seljak, this is also a recognition of the fact that the Hidria's operating principle based on values and constant development, which Hidria has paid special attention to in recent years, has undoubtedly proved extremely successful in a number of areas.

The European Business Awards have been conferred since 2007. Last year alone, more than 15,000 organisations vied for the award, together generating 8.23% of the EU's total GDP and employing more than 2.7 million people. We are proud that one of the contestants this year is Hidria, identified by the organisers as a successful and dynamic corporation with great potentials despite its achieved results, while its operations were described as successful and expressly innovation- and development-oriented.
