Kempinski Palace Hotel, Portorose

In the middle of October the first luxury hotel in Slovenia opened its doors; the newly renovated Palace hotel in Portoro┼ż, which, for the next 20 years, will be managed by the Kempinski Hotels S.A. Group. The renovation project of the hotel, otherwise closed for 18 years, took five years and had an estimated cost of 70 million euros.

The hotel has 183 rooms and apartments. Their aptly named presidential suite has a total of 230 m2 in space. 81 rooms will have a view of the Gulf of Piran, while 102 will look out into the private enclosed park. In the new section of the building an Aromopathy well-being centre has been built, and both complexes have seven impressive large halls at their disposal, the largest of which is the former Chrystal Hall.

Credit for the fact the Kempinski Palace hotel carries the title of the "most beautiful between Dubrovnik and Venice" also undoubtedly goes to Hidria, as it equipped the building with electrical, heating, and cooling systems, as well as climate control and air flow control systems, which are distinguished by their technical characteristics, while also merging seamlessly with the architecture of the space.
