More than 100 of our loyal partners at the Leonardo day

Yesterday in Spodnja Idrija we held the Leonardo day which is intended to encourage an innovative cooperation of our Corporation with our suppliers. This year it was attended by more than 100 of our partners. Among them we could see many renowned experts and managers of companies with which Hidria has been working well for a number of years.

The Leonardo day is organised by our Corporation every two years and named after one of the greatest innovators and thinkers of humankind, Leonardo da Vinci; it focused mainly on the importance of cooperation that the modern, quickly developing world demands from all of us. To be as successful as possible here, we extended our partner relationship across the entire business network. So now, when looking for solutions, we work together not only with our direct suppliers, but also with the suppliers of our suppliers and with our clients. Because only by optimising the entire supply network can we all achieve good results. Another crucial aspect is the development of business functions and new competencies in employees.

The many lectures given by recognised experts and managers, for example the consultant at the American financial house McKinsey Dr Peter Kraljič, the procurement manager for Eastern Europe at Bosch, Dr Roman Koch, and Gábor Szabó from Microsoft, mentioned also the importance and influence of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in the supply chain development. We also got acquainted with the methods for establishing new collaboration models that will encourage innovation. The violin player and visionary Miha Pogačnik demonstrated with a delicate music piece how one can be ready for the change that drives the world, how to be different and how to find new levers that will contribute to the development.

And because our partners importantly contribute to Hidria’s development, we again awarded the best among them. This year, the statues of Da Vinci’s helicopter went to the Swiss company Bühler, the German Kummer and the Slovenian BTS. They all made an important contribution to Hidria’s success with their proposals and work.
