Hidria's solutions to power Porsche’s hybrid »spyder«

This year, Hidria has upgraded its version of the laminated electric motor core for hybrid vehicles that is used as a standard in the electric motors of other hybrid vehicles (Peugeot, Smart, Fiat) with a special series designed for one of the two electric motors in the exclusive hybrid edition of the Porsche Spyder 918.

This model was on display at this year’s IAA fair in Frankfurt and will be available for purchase as early as next year. Buying it will definitely be a challenge as the series will be limited to just 918 cars. Hidria is extremely proud of this achievement and the Porsche Spyder 918 is the latest addition to its line-up of prestigious references that serve as testament to Hidria’s high quality and solidify its leading position among solution providers for hybrid and electric vehicles.

For fans of sports cars, a car’s “ID card” is all that matters. The plug-in hybrid vehicle is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 boasting an admirable 608 HP (445 kW). The two additional electric motors will “add fuel to the fire”, delivering an extra 279 HP.
The Porsche Spyder 918 also boasts rapid acceleration, going from naught to 100 km/h in mere 2.8 seconds. This sophisticated sports car will definitely satisfy those who get their adrenaline from breakneck speeds. With a top speed of 340 km/h, the Spyder’s rear end will be a common sight for most of its competitors.
An extremely important piece of information with regard to all this is that the fuel consumption of the Porsche Spyder 918 is just 3.3 litres per 100 kilometres - to which Hidria’s in-built technology also contributed.
