The 87th Geneva International Motor Show is starting today in Geneva, Switzerland. During the next 10 days, 180 exhibitors from all around the globe will present their novelties, advanced technologies and vehicles of the future. And again, Hidria’s presence will be noticeable in many of the new vehicles. The high-tech innovative products developed and manufactured by our corporation are indispensable in some important premièred vehicles. These will be presented to the global and European public for the first time at the Geneva Show.

The visitors at the Geneva International Motor Show will be able to see as many as 900 models of vehicles presented by the leading automotive manufacturers, and also by smaller exclusive car manufacturers and rebuilders. The exhibitors prepared almost 150 world and European premières of vehicles that will appear on our roads in the coming months. And many of them use Hidria’s know-how and solutions.

Seat will present a new Ibiza, Škoda a new Rapid, Opel the versatile SUV Crossland X, and the fans of the fastest prestigious limousine of the world will be able to see the refurbished Porsche Panamera. In their steering systems, all four models include key aluminium parts - developed and manufactured by Hidria. Due to their high quality and low weight, these are also used in the steering of the Mercedes Benz models C and E. In this manner Hidria significantly reduces the weight of vehicles and consequently the fuel consumption and harmful emissions. Modern cars are environmentally friendly, also due to Hidria’s innovative diesel engine cold start systems. These are used as the globally best systems by all exhibited diesel models of vehicles from Citroen, Peugeot, DS Renault (premières: the new Alaskan, Koleos, Captur), Škoda (premières: the new Kodiaq, Octavia), Volkswagen (première: the new Tiguan), Audi and Seat.

Another indispensable topic at motor shows in the recent years has been electromobility. In this area, Hidria works together with all major manufacturers of electric vehicles (Audi, BMW, Citroen, Daimler/Mercedes, Fiat, Renault, Peugeot, VW, Volvo, …) to develop innovative solutions, especially in the area of high-performance electric motors and generators for hybrid and electric vehicles. Nowadays Hidria’s solutions are integrated in the hybrids Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Mercedes E-SLS and C300, GL350, S300 in S500, Porsche Spyder, Fiat 500, VW e-Golf and e-Up.
