- development of new products with an emphasis on the materials aspect and involvement in their introduction into production
- project management
- monitoring and following innovations in the field of work
- proposing and introducing new procedures, techniques and methods of work in the field of analysis and handling of materials
- preparation of professional bases and instructions in the field of work
- preparation and implementation of internal and external education
- involvement in making calculations of new products
- monitoring, preparation and protection of patents and models
- involvement in the development of optimisation of technological processes
- involvement in the elimination of disruptions in the production process
- involvement in R&D groups
- involvement in the preparation of tender documentation
- involvement in the selection of material suppliers for new products
- involvement in resolving complaints
- communication with buyers
- keeping records, making analyses and preparing reports
- performing other tasks within the framework of professional competence

Course: Metallurgy, materials, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry

- active knowledge of the Slovenian language - recommended
- B1 communication level in the English language
- good skill level in working with office tools (MS Office)
- good skill level in working with computer tools for construction
